Artistic Exploration

I describe my work as "escapist soul-surrealism"— a visual language rooted in emotion, storytelling, and the pursuit of joy. My goal is simple: to create art that feels unique, intentional, and alive. Through each piece, I explore themes that resonate deeply with me, drawing inspiration from Afro-centric and Afro-Caribbean ideas, histories, and imagined futures. My work is made for people who think, feel, hope, and love—and who find meaning in images that speak to the spirit.

Artistic Process

My practice began traditionally, with pencil on paper and brush on canvas. After graduating, that same creative impulse led me into the digital space, where I discovered new possibilities for expression. Today, technology is my canvas and light is my medium. Working primarily on the iPad with Procreate, I create vibrant, soulful works that merge the authenticity of traditional art-making with the flexibility and innovation of digital tools.

My process is rooted in visual storytelling. I pull from a wide range of references—photography, literature, historical moments, fashion, pop culture, and social issues—to shape the themes behind each artwork. From an initial digital sketch, I develop the work through layered shading, colour, and detail. Every stroke is intentional, building toward a final image that reflects my commitment to narrative, emotion, and craft.
